Good read, i learned something about substrate i never knew before. Greg do you use cheato in your fuge?  if so do you have a light over it?  i'm slowly getting rid of my bioballs  so i will be using cheato.  i was told cheato won't grow without a small light over it, my tank"s light doesn't shine over the the 2nd chamber (fuge) so i'm wondering if i'll have to get a small light.

P.S  You have some really nice corals for sale, too bad you live to far i would luv to buy some but i read you don't like to ship them.

Sorry for the slow reply. When the server for this forum was updated it stopped emailing me updates to my posts. Now I have to manually check and that sucks.

Anyway, shipping can be tough and to Canada, impossible. Plus, filthyrich still has my fragbox!

I actually don't have a fuge. If I did have one I would probably put a small light over it. I imagine a desk lamp would be sufficient. If you are getting any overflow light from the tank I wouldn't bother though.

Yea that's what i figured the shipping would be a no go,to bad you have some really nice frags there.  You know i would never do that, after you making the box & sending him a frag that's not very nice.  Not everyone is like that just remember that.  There's a good forum i've been going on lately called nanoreef.com, good ppl.on there.  a guy on there called stevie T who makes all in one media basket(for the fuge)  fish saver, & he also has a sub. light.  Great reviews on his products (www.mediabaskets.com) i'll probably get the basket & light once my bioballs are all gone, i don't have enough light back there & i have a closed lid so a desk lamp is out. Anyway i'll keep my eyes open for trading over there for some of the frags you have.  Have to get rid of my frogspawn it's become a monster even after i fragged a head.

@reefGirl - Dont go jumping guns too quick. Acting like that on a Forum is really pointless and completely inappropriate. If there was something that was that much of a bother for you id recommend using the PM system.

No need for the whole ecosystem, just a frag. Fill the mug up about half way and drop it in. Maybe put a plastic bag in there to keep it from bouncing around too much. It just acts like a bit of a baffle. I will be on the IM on and off so just drop a line and I will do the same.
